From childhood, Evelyn faced an unusual predicament. A battle raged nocturnally. Almost every night, strange snakes appeared in her dreams, sometimes chasing or attacking her. Thinking it was just a product of her mental state of fear for snakes, Evelyn didn’t realise the spiritual repercussions of these encounters. However, years later when faced with joblessness and marital issues, Evelyn realised that upon waking up from these strange confrontations, depression would weigh her down and affect her attitude.
Watching Emmanuel TV, the young Tanzanian’s eyes were opened to the reality of the spiritual world and she decided to visit SCOAN London to seek deliverance and peace from Jesus Christ.
Here is her remarkable testimony:
Weird Dreams
“Emmanuel! My name is Mrs Evelyn originally from Tanzania but currently living in Scotland. Before coming to SCOAN London, I was experiencing very weird dreams. I would dream about strange demonic creatures chasing me, especially snakes. Every time I closed my eyes, I would just see snakes. I didn’t know what it meant to have a peaceful sleep. This spirit caused me a lot of problems in both my career and marriage. I was so depressed.
Snake Attack
“When I told her my experiences, my mum disclosed that when she was pregnant with me, she also had a dream where she saw a snake wrapped around a baby. She thought it was something to do with that. Around that time, I was only 10 and I really didn’t take it seriously. I didn’t see it as a spiritual problem. I was just thinking that maybe I was too scared of snakes and that’s why they appeared in my dream. I had these experiences right from childhood.
Irrational Attitude
“Whenever I had a dream and saw snakes or other strange creatures in my dreams, it affected me negatively. Sometimes, I would just wake up and irrationally decide not to talk to my husband, or I would stay alone in a separate room. He would actually go down on his knees and apologise, thinking maybe he had done something wrong. Sometimes he would go to work knowing there was something wrong but not knowing the source of it. So, he would text and call me, trying to reconcile. Sometimes, I wouldn’t even pick his phone calls or anything. Then I would sit down and say, ‘Why am I doing that? What’s wrong with me?’ I would apologise to him and he would accept that. I always thank God that I have a very humble and patient husband, because if somebody did that to me, I would probably leave or something like that.
Joblessness
“Amidst the depression and constant nightmares, I was also looking for a job because I finished my Master’s degree in March and I was looking for a professional job, not just an odd job. Everywhere I went they told me that I was overqualified but had no work experience so they would just reject my CV. That led to more depression.
Vivid Miracles
“I wasn’t comfortable telling my husband about my dreams because we are from a different culture and he didn’t actually believe much about the spiritual things I had seen on Emmanuel TV. He would find it very weird to see me praying with Emmanuel TV on the internet. So I was depressed that I did not have his support. The only thing I could do was encourage him to watch Emmanuel TV with me. He kept seeing these testimonies and the vivid miracles that were happening in The SCOAN – where somebody had an ulcer and was healed or a pregnant mother delivering her baby safely in the church. It really made him believe that T.B. Joshua was a man of God, whose power came from God.
A Test Of Faith
“The problem kept continuing and I kept sending CVs with no result, so I decided to come to SCOAN London. I called a friend and told her that I wanted to come to London for a healing service and I also invited her. She said she was willing to try it. I told my husband that I was coming here and invited him but he wasn’t so interested at that time. So, I decided to come alone.
“After registration on Saturday, I went home to where I was staying with my friend to find that her room-mate had left the house and she had the keys. It was so strange because normally the person who had the key would communicate to the other one where she was going and when she would back. We waited for her outside until midnight. Finally, we got through to her on the phone and she told us that she was too drunk to come home. We started saying, ‘But we need to go to church tomorrow!’ We were cold, dirty and needed to change clothes. We tried to climb on top of some bins so actually we could reach up but it was impossible.
Satan Is A Liar
“Later on we came out with the idea at midnight to call 999 and ask for the fire brigade to come. It sounds funny but at that time, we were freezing cold and desperate. Thankfully, they came and they helped us to open the door. When I got in, I actually called my mum. She immediately said, ‘You should not even blame the girl. This is satan! Satan is a liar! He knows what is going to happen to you tomorrow so he’s trying to prevent that happening.’ So, we decided we weren’t even going to be upset with this girl. That actually gave us courage and strengthened our faith.
Preparation
“We slept and the following morning said that we were not going to take any train or bus but a taxi straight from our house to the church, just in case the trains were not working or something happened on the way! So, we arrived very early. We prepared ourselves. I remember hearing a testimony of a lady healed from a terrible medical condition and that testimony really touched me. I knew I had problems but this lady had even greater problems and she was healed!
On The Floor
“When the time of healing came, we were prayed for. As the evangelists were administering the Anointing Water on me, I felt very itchy. I felt like something was being peeled off my skin. All of a sudden, I don’t know what happened but I just found myself on the floor. When I got up, I just had this incredible sense of peace. I knew God had touched me!
The Train Home
“The next day on Monday, I was heading back to Scotland. It was a seven hour train journey. On my way back, I started receiving phone calls from this agency – the same agency where I had sent my CV before and they told me I was overqualified and I had no work experience so they can’t help me get a professional job. They called me for a meeting. I was shocked! The breakthrough had already started on the train home! Not one agency, but two agencies called me on that journey. I did my masters in human resource management, and this agency specialises in human resources so they called me and said we would like to see you for an interview. On Wednesday I went to this agency and they hooked me up with an interview on Friday. I went for an interview on Friday and I got the job to start on Monday! After six months of disappointment, God provided me a job in one week.
Like A Baby
“After the deliverance, actually right from my friend’s place that Sunday night, I slept so peacefully. I slept like a baby. We actually had to put on an alarm to wake up because we slept so soundly! It was really nice. Since that day, I have never had any other dreams or visions of snakes or demonic creatures at all.
Together
“Right now, I am here with my husband. We are here together, something that I never thought would happen. We are like best friends right now. We do everything together, something that didn’t happen before. I talk to my husband so freely now. He is really happy because before I would put him into a lot of tension and he is doing his PHD. Imagine going to school studying when you know your wife is upset with you for no reason. It was hard but right now, we support each other in every single area.
Distance Is Not A Barrier
“The previous job that I got was a temporary job which I finished last week. This Sunday when we were praying with The SCOAN in Lagos through the internet on Emmanuel TV, Prophet T.B. Joshua said he was going to pray for the viewers. He said God was going to anoint our hands and by faith, we should bless everything to do with us. So, we blessed our marriage, our careers and everything.
Nocturnal Breakthrough
“That night I slept and all I could dream of was jobs. I got a job; my husband got a job. It was just like a continuous dream. I even woke up three times that night but each time I slept again, the dream continued. It was like I was pausing the dream and then continuing from where I stopped. When I woke up and told my husband, we were both excited. I told him that we were going to receive some good news today!
Even Better
“That day, the same agency called me again and arranged another interview. Before going for the interview, I was very nervous because it was a much higher position and they needed someone with a lot of experience. I was so nervous knowing that I don’t have any of that but I believed God would see me through and make a way if it was His will. Before going for that interview on Tuesday, the agency called me again for another similar job interview the following day Wednesday. I didn’t pay much attention to the second one because my whole focus was on Tuesday. I went for the interview on Tuesday and I wasn’t successful. I came home very discouraged. I thought that the interview on Wednesday was going to be the same thing so I went there the following day for without expecting much. On Thursday they called me to say that they had offered me the job! God is wonderful! The job is even better than the one that I did not get. The pay is even better and actually it is closer to my home. It was so much of an advantage.
Overcome Your Doubt
“My advice is to look for Jesus’ help even in doubt. We are human beings and sometimes we fall into doubt. But Jesus knows that if you are looking for Him with all your heart – obviously you are going to have some doubt – but if you do look for Him with all your heart and believe Him and give Him a try, He will change your life forever.”
Comfortable And Confident
“My name is Georgio from Italy. I have to say thank you to my wife because she introduced me to Emmanuel TV for the past one month now. I am so happy because every Sunday evening we pray together with Emmanuel TV and now I can see my marriage and our lives growing better and better.
