How To Know Your Calling In Life…

Emmanuel! Prophet T.B. Joshua recently gave a very practical and powerful message titled ‘The Call Of God’ in which he addressed an important question that is often asked yet seldom answered: ‘How do I know my calling in life?’

• How do I know what my calling from God is?
• The first step in knowing your calling is to get to know God better by reading His Word. Psalm 119:105 – “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
• When you let God transform you by the power of the Holy Spirit, He will literally begin to show you the way.
• Romans 12:2 – “Do not conform to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
• God’s Word is the tool in the hands of the Holy Spirit to nurture us and to furnish us with everything we need to succeed on earth.
  • Read it – it is food for your soul.
  • Read it – it is a guide for your feet.
  • Read it – it has a purifying power.
  • Read it – it has a converting power.
  • Read it – it is enduring.
  • Read it – it rejoices the heart.
  • Read it – to keep you from sin and error.
  • Read it – it is so profitable.
• Anybody can buy the Bible, not everyone has access to the Holy Bible. The Bible is for sale but the Holy Bible is not. You can find the Bible in the library but the Holy Bible is not in the library – it’s in your heart.
• Talk Scripture in every conversation. You may be on the phone or in a business transaction – talk Scripture. Use the Word of God to answer someone.
• The Word of God becomes your database for your personal opinion.

We pray this message from Prophet T.B. Joshua would inspire in you a deeper hunger and thirst for God’s Word and holiness in your life, for God will not open His door to wisdom to the one who keeps his Bible shut. When you spend your time with God’s Word, your time will be well-spent!

Healing Testimony From T.B. Joshua’s Prayer On Emmanuel TV

One of the most well-known phrases associated with The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV is, ‘Distance is not a barrier for the Holy Spirit.’ However, those who have received healing, breakthrough and deliverance thousands of miles away from The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria through Prophet T.B. Joshua’s prayers on Emmanuel TV will testify that it is more than a mere phrase. It is a faith-building promise from God that His power is so real, authentic and forceful that it cannot be limited by time or space. Jesus Christ has done everything for us; all we need to do is believe. Just believe –that is your connection to Jesus Christ!

Here is a testimony shared in SCOAN London from a lady who stepped out in faith and stayed there. The results were truly miraculous. As you read, we pray your faith would grow and shift to another level!

“My name is Susan. I originally come from Zimbabwe but I live here in Kent, UK. I have a wonderful testimony to share, to the glory of God.

“On the 31^st December at 9am, I received a phone call from Zimbabwe to say my son was involved in a serious car accident. While driving early in the morning, he just collided with a mini-bus. 21 people were involved in the crash. I believe there would have been fatalities but there is an Anointing Sticker on our car, saying, “We are sons and daughters of love; let love lead.” God really protected people and no one was killed, although many had serious injuries – broken bones and whiplash. My son fractured his knee and fell unconscious at the scene. Immediately they rushed him to hospital.

“When I tried to speak to him in the hospital in Zimbabwe, he couldn’t even talk to me. He was unconscious. My family around him were just crying. When I heard this message, I kept myself strong and began to thank God for preserving his life. I went into my spare room and started praying. I prayed from the bottom of my heart; this was a mother who had a serious message. I said, ‘The God of Prophet T.B. Joshua, the One I serve, may you send the Holy Spirit to touch my son wherever he is right now. He can’t talk; he can’t walk. God, just heal Him. May the Holy Spirit heal him, in Jesus’ name!’

“After one hour, I called back and, to my greatest surprise, they told me to hold on for him, that he could speak to me himself! I spoke to him and he said, ‘Mum, don’t worry – I’m okay.’ I told him to stay in faith, that God would heal him completely. On that day, I didn’t say because there was an accident that I couldn’t go to the SCOAN London New Year’s Eve service to join with the candlelight service in Lagos, Nigeria live on Emmanuel TV. I said to myself I am going to praise the Lord, no matter the situation! The service was wonderful and I was even privileged to receive the Anointing Water which I immediately sent to my son in Zimbabwe. Before sending it, me and my sisters organised a day to pray and fast. On the 6^th January 2012, we came together to pray and fast because of the situation. My son was released from hospital to go home at this stage, but he still couldn’t walk or do anything on his own without assistance.

“We started praying that day and fasting. We put Emmanuel TV on and prayed along with Prophet T.B. Joshua as he prayed for the viewers around the world. I rang home and said to my son, ‘Just listen to these prayers on Emmanuel TV.’ I started praying with him, declaring, ‘Any evil spirit, any sickness or disease – out!’ I kept telling my son, ‘Be healed in Jesus’ name. Stand up and walk in Jesus’ name.’ As we were praying with Prophet T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV, my son started screaming at the end of the phone. Somebody there took the phone and said he was shaking uncontrollably. At that moment, the prophet was praying on Emmanuel TV. I took my phone to the television, put on the speaker and encouraged my son to pray along with the man of God. What happened was simply amazing! While T.B. Joshua was praying on Emmanuel TV which I had on in UK, my son’s fractured leg was moving up and down in Zimbabwe. People were telling me, ‘His leg is moving!’ Then, when the man of God said, ‘Amen’, instantly he stood up in Zimbabwe to say ‘I’m healed’ and began to walk!

“He said to me that during the prayer, it was like Someone was fixing his bones. He told me when the prayer was going on, something just came out of his chest and he felt light and his leg became numb. That was how he started walking. That day, he walked by himself to the bank to collect the money one of my sisters had sent. He walked by himself – without any aid. Since that prayer, he has been fine. He can drive again. He’s even going to the gym everyday now, lifting heavy weights and exercising! Glory be to God!

“I want to encourage you all to believe that distance is not a barrier for the Holy Spirit. As Prophet T.B. Joshua prays on Emmanuel TV, join him and believe. I did and now my son is healed and alright.  Thank You, Jesus Christ!”

‘Your Relationship With Jesus’ – An Inspiring Message From T.B. Joshua

Emmanuel! Here is a summary of key points from the message preached by Prophet T.B. Joshua on Sunday 15th January 2012, titled, ‘Your Relationship With Jesus’.We pray God would open your heart to His Word as you read, and inspire you to not just be a hearer of the Word but a doer!

• John 21:15-17 – Jesus asked Peter one of the most significant and penetrating – in fact, one of the most dangerous questions ever asked: ‘Do you love Me?’
• Three times, Jesus asked Peter, ‘Do you love Me?’ Three times, Peter answered, ‘You know I love You.’ Three times Jesus responded by giving Peter a responsibility – ‘If you love Me – keep My sheep, shepherd My sheep, care for My sheep.’
• Before we can be responsible to Jesus, it must be because of our love for Him.
• Jesus asked him this question three times before giving him the commission to shepherd His sheep.
• He did not ask him if he was a gifted speaker – the ability to speak fluently, flawlessly and eloquently.
• He did not ask him if he was a talented leader.
• He did not enquire about Peter’s seminary training or Bible knowledge.
• All these things are important but they are not the issue. The issue is quite simple.
• The issue is found in Jesus’ question, ‘Do you love Me?’ The essential quality is found in Jesus’ question, ‘Do you love Me?’
• Jesus repeated the question so that the concept would be crystal clear. He wanted Peter and us to know that love is central.
  • Stop complaining of those who failed you.
  • Stop complaining that everyone in your family is poor.
  • Stop complaining about your limited education.
  • Stop pointing your finger at the economics of your nation.
  • Stop meditating on your weakness.
• There is hope for you – whether you are educated or not, whether you are a farmer or a professor. The hope – loving Jesus. In other words, loving others.
• Remember, whatsoever you do your fellow brothers or you fail to do – that you do to Jesus.
  • If you help your fellow brother, then you help Jesus.
  • If you dupe your fellow brother, than you dupe Jesus.
  • If you care for your fellow brother, then you care for Jesus.
  • If you ignore your fellow brother, then you ignore Jesus.
• 1 Corinthians 13:13 – There are only three things on this earth that will last – faith, hope and love. The greatest is love. Since the greatest is love, we need to make the greatest sacrifice.
• PRAYER: Lord Jesus, grant me Your loving heart, the will to give and share.

Rheumatoid Arthritis: God Healed Me!

At a tender age and in the height of her academic pursuits, Liliosa’s life literally turned upside down. Smitten by a strange and sudden ailment, almost every day became a gruelling battle amidst pain and painkillers. It was rheumatoid arthritis, a disease normally associated with people in the latter stages of their life and one with no known medical cure. In the midst of her physical frailty, Liliosa also faced challenges in her marriage.

Here is her remarkable story of restoration through Jesus Christ– one that touched her physical body, spiritual life and marital home.

Hospitalised
“My name is Liliosa. I’m originally from Zimbabwe but I currently reside in the UK. The problem that brought me to SCOAN London was a severe case of rheumatoid arthritis. It all began about 21 years ago when I was studying in university in Russia. These pains just started in my joints and as time progressed, they steadily grew worse. They intensified to the point where I was admitted to hospital for three months during the period where I was supposed to write exams. The doctors were surprised at the affliction I was having because they normally associate rheumatoid arthritis with old people. That’s how my ordeal started.

Minimization
“There was not a day in my life where I was not in pain. People would see me and not know anything was wrong – but I knew the amount of drugs I was daily taking just to numb the pains and survive. Rheumatoid arthritis affects your joints such that they begin to wear out and deform. My ankles were wearing out, especially my right one, so for me to be able to minimise the pain, not to get rid of the pain but just to minimise the pain, the doctors gave me insoles. Those were just to aid the tablets I was taking.

Side Effects
“I have been in the UK for the last five years now and it has been the same story. They have also tried to treat me with medication but they couldn’t cure the disease. They said it was just how to maintain it and make the pain tolerable. But you keep taking more and they keep increasing the dosage of the tablets you are taking. Because of negative side effects of the drugs I was taking, the doctors said I could not have a child because the medication would affect the child I would have. They said I would need to be off the tablets for six months just to try and get pregnant or the child would end up deformed. I couldn’t bear the pain to live even a day without medication– so how could I spend six months without tablets? So, it was also a really difficult time in my relationship with my husband.

All Of A Sudden
“I came to SCOAN London in November and registered for the prayer line. As I was sitting down and the Anointing Water was ministered to me, I was just overwhelmed. I can’t describe what actually happened to me but at that point, I just didn’t feel any pain. I stood up and tried to move and do things I had never done before. All of a sudden I felt very light. All of a sudden, I was a different person. I was so overjoyed! That’s how I felt when the Anointing Water was ministered to me in Jesus’ name.

Hallelujah
“It’s been six weeks since I received prayer and hallelujah – I haven’t taken any tablets for six weeks! My health has been good. I can do so many things I couldn’t do before, even things like simple chores in the house. I don’t feel the pain that I used to feel. If I can survive six weeks without the tablets, it means I am healed and I know the LORD has healed me. Aside from my physical healing, I am also now recovering to be a better person and a more committed Christian.

High Heels
“Life for the past six weeks has been great! You can actually see that I am wearing high heels today – something that I couldn’t do for a long time. It has also been good for my husband. Before, sometimes he would accidentally hit me and I would literally scream out in pain. It was so painful. That’s been different now. He is surprised now when he touches me and I don’t scream. Right now, I am feeling great. No pain!

Have Faith
“I want to advise people to have faith in God. When we say, ‘Have faith in God…’ – I have read a lot where people say they have been told not to take medication. It is your faith that is going to tell you to do that; no one else is going to tell you to do it. So you can check yourself if you have enough faith to say, ‘If I believe the Lord has healed me, why do I need to take this?’ So, there comes a time when you question yourself. It doesn’t happen at the same time for everyone – but for me it was last November when it happened. Doctors are wonderful people and God is using them greatly – but they can only try to cure you, not provide a permanent solution. Only Jesus can heal you!”

Marshall, Liliosa’s husband, shares his own side of the wonderful testimony:

Quality Of Life
“Emmanuel. My name is Marshall. I am from Manchester but originally from Zimbabwe. Life had been difficult, especially for my wife. Every time we approached winter or summer, it was very difficult for her because in both hot and cold weather, the pains really increased. I would know it was a difficult time. Sometimes I would accidentally rub her and she would scream out in agony. I would just think, ‘What can I do to ease the pain?’ I really struggled with that. I am glad it is over now. We are living a new life! The past few weeks have been great. Every morning, I would ask, ‘How do you feel today?’ I just couldn’t believe the changes I have seen! Last night I accidentally knocked her and she kicked me back! It’s been a wonderful time. We are enjoying life and things have changed. The quality of life with the medication is different from what we have now with Jesus. It’s wonderful!

Non-Existent
“Earlier this year, our marriage went through a very difficult patch. It’s difficult to put a finger on what exactly went wrong but sometimes you find yourself caught in a quagmire, in a difficult situation and like Isaac Hayes used to say, ‘You can’t wriggle out of it.’ The more you try to wriggle, the faster you sink – like in quicksand. As we found ourselves caught up in that situation and tried to disentangle ourselves from the problems we faced, we even sank deeper into the problems. I think to a greater extent we lacked Jesus. There was no Jesus in our lives. He was not there; He was non-existent. It led the point where we actually separated.

Too Much
“When I went home to Zimbabwe to visit my family, my dad said to me, ‘Son, I have got a tape I recorded here. Do you have time to watch?’ I said, ‘I will see that some other time, dad. I’m rushing to Harare.’ When I came back, he pestered me again so we sat down and he showed me a tape of The SCOAN in Lagos with Prophet T.B. Joshua. That moment, I felt something within me. I told my dad that when I got back to Manchester, I would go to London so I can attend a service at SCOAN London. At that time, I was still having problems with my wife – almost daily arguments and disagreement. When I came back, I ignored what I told my father and didn’t come here. It was at that period that we separated – because the problems were becoming too much. I called my father and he asked me, ‘Did you go to London? I think you better go there now!’ That was the last time he said it to me. So, I came on my own.

Reconciled
“From childhood, my church attendance was more academic really – going to church because you have to go. My mum was very insistent that we go to church – so I used to go, but I was not really there. However, when I came to SCOAN London, it transformed my life. Coming to the first service and seeing the wonders of God, I said, ‘This is where I belong!’ I said I must come every month. After my third attendance at SCOAN London, I made a decision to take the first steps to go to my wife and encourage her to come with me – because I had seen a lot of miraculous things happening. Without Jesus, I wouldn’t have gone back to her because I am a very stubborn person. I wouldn’t have done that; my pride would not have allowed me. But I came down because the way I got to know Jesus at SCOAN transformed the way I looked at life. So I called my wife and said, ‘I am going to church now and I think you need to come with me and make up your mind if you think it’s good for us’. She didn’t argue but she was rather shocked, knowing me! She said, ‘Okay I will go with you.’ That was how we reconciled after six months of separation! Since then, we try to come once a month for one of the services. It has been a difficult time but it is all over now; it’s in the past! Everything is smoothly flowing!

Solid Foundation
“I want to thank my father for showing me the light, for showing me where Jesus is. I thought I was near Jesus but I wasn’t. To people out there, I want to say – you need to seek Jesus no matter what the problem is. My wife knows that I don’t worry anymore. Even if things are difficult, I just say, ‘Well, let’s live today. Tomorrow is in the hands of Jesus!’ My advice to everyone is don’t worry about tomorrow because God will provide through His Son Jesus. So, live and live well today and have faith! It is faith that is the solid foundation we can build on.

Amen
“I thank Jesus for what He has done to my husband. When he called me after coming back from SCOAN London, it wasn’t to reconcile. Jesus made him so humble that he actually wanted me to be healed. He didn’t call me for us to come back together. Because of that… how can you not fall in love again with someone who loves you so much that he wants your healing? That is how we reconciled. This is a great change I have seen in him. Before then, he is not someone who wanted things for others – he would think about himself first. But this time, he thought about me. He thought about others first – and how our life would be. I thank God for that. Amen!

2012: The Year Of Comeback – T.B. Joshua’s New Year Message

Emmanuel! Happy New Year 2012, a year Prophet T.B. Joshua has termed ‘The Year Of Comeback’!

Here are some key points from the message preached at The SCOAN Candlelight Service on December 31st 2011, as seen on Emmanuel TV:

• 2012 is the year of comeback! That is, come back to worship God in spirit and truth.
• A comeback is a return to a place of significance, a place that was lost for a period of time.
• In the year 2011, we worshiped our possessions rather than the Giver. This New Year is a year of comeback to worship the Giver.
• Sometimes, we need to hear about others setback and comeback – so that we can hold onto our hope.
• Somebody needs your testimony to help them to get out of their desperate setback. In the midst of setback, people need hope.
• Everyone messes up, even the great men and women in the Bible.
• It is only this kind of message that can change a life. Allow this message to start you on the path of a new comeback.
• Somebody wants to turn my trial/ difficulty into a testimony!
• Somebody wants to turn my sickness into a miracle!
• Somebody wants to turn my mess into a message!

The Overflow Crowd...

NEW YEAR PRAYER/ FAITH CONFESSIONS!

• My limitations have become my opportunities in this New Year!
• My obstacles have turned to miracles in this New Year!
• My transformation is going to be a great one in this New Year!
• God has positioned me this New Year to accomplish my destiny, in the name of Jesus Christ!

Prophet T.B. Joshua also addressed the current situation in Nigeria, a message that contains numerous lessons for all of us:

“There is no war between Christians and Muslims. I mean, there is no war between you and your neighbor. There is no war among neighbors. The idea of bombing and burning churches is to cause disagreement and conflict between you and your neighbor, to break the commandment and rule which says, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’. If we are not armed for battle, we will fight the wrong battle. Strikes against your neighbor/ people – this is the wrong battle. God at all times is assembling for Himself a generation of spiritual worshipers. Because God is a Spirit, Christ came to declare God to us.”

Emmanuel! On behalf of SCOAN UK, we wish you all a very merry Christmas!

This season, we encourage you to pray to the Holy Spirit:

• O Holy Spirit, impress Your law in my heart
• O Holy Spirit, pour into me the treasure of Your grace
• O Holy Spirit, enlighten me with your Divine inspiration
• O Holy Spirit, inspire in me the practice of virtues
• O Holy Spirit, grant me the grace of all virtues

Remember, without Jesus Christ there would be no Christmas. God so loved us that He planted His best Seed in the earth so that His peace might abide with men forever. The seed gave Himself up as a living sacrifice (John 10:15) for our sake – to heal the broken hearted, give the captives freedom, comfort those who mourn, release the prisoners and defeat their enemies (Isaiah 61:1-4). What a great love! What a priceless offering is our Lord Jesus Christ to the world! It is in our own interest to show our appreciation to this Seed, and on all occasions.

How do we show our appreciation to Him? When we give every good thing the Lord has given us – our strength, time, faith, love – we are not only meeting the needs of God’s people, we are at the same time showing appreciation for His provision. Jesus desires and deserves our best because He has given us His best, and Christmas is a time to give our best – every good thing God has given us.

Therefore, as you go about celebrating this season, never forget the reason Christ came. Make Him the center of your Christmas!

By Public Transport
If you are coming from London, take the Piccadilly Line to Hatton Cross. From Hatton Cross, you can catch Bus 423 which goes directly to the Heathrow Park Thistle Hotel which has its own bus stop. The bus runs approximately every 15 to 20 minutes.

Bus 81 which goes from Slough Bus Station to Hounslow Bus Station also stops directly at the hotel.

From The West: Leave the M4 at Junction 5 (A40/ B470). At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A4, signposted Colnbrook, then follow signs for Heathrow and Hounslow. At the traffic lights, turn right, signposted M25, Heathrow Airport and Staines. After approximately 300 metres, take the first exit at the roundabout onto the Old Bath Road and continue through Longford village. Thistle London Heathrow is 250 metres on the right-hand side.

From London: Leave the M4 at Junction 4 and take the first exit, signposted Heathrow Terminals 1, 2 and 3. At the next roundabout (with the Emirates A380 Airbus!) take the second exit, signposted Terminal 4. After about 30 metres, take the first exit off the roundabout signposted Slough A4. At the traffic lights, turn left onto the A4, signposted Staines. Travel along Bath Road and just before McDonalds and the Total petrol station turn left onto Old Bath Road. The hotel is located 100 metres on the left-hand side.

From Terminals 1, 2 or 3, you can catch Hoppa Bus H4.
From Terminal 5, you can catch Hoppa Bus H54 or H51.
From Terminal 4, you need to take the Heathrow Connect train (free of charge) to Terminal, 1, 2, 3 or 5 and then catch the Hoppa Bus as above. The journey to the Thistle takes about 10 minutes.

The Unstoppable Love Of God!

Emmanuel! On Sunday 4th December 2011 during the first live Sunday Service on Emmanuel TV, Prophet T.B. Joshua preached another message titled ‘Encouraging Words’ in which he spoke on God’s love. Here are some of the key points and Scriptures from the message:

• John 4:10 – “Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”
• Jesus did not reject the sinful Samaritan woman but rather He showed her love and acceptance by offering her Living Water.
• Jesus will never reject anyone who comes to Him to be cleansed from sin. He accepts anyone who comes to Him in faith, even those who previously rejected Him.
• Don’t misinterpret God’s silence as rejection.
• Romans 8:35 – “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?”
• What can make you doubt God’s love? Hurtful hard times, facing hatred, hunger or homelessness, painful persecution, betrayal by friends and families, or worse yet, your own awful sin?
• There is not one thing evil enough, ugly enough, deep enough or powerful enough to stop God from loving you.  Nothing anyone could possibly do to you can sever that connection.
• Nothing you yourself could ever do can dam the unstoppable love of God. His love for you is immeasurable, unrelenting, unceasing, unstoppable, undeniable and unconditional.

Hallelujah! Well did the Psalmist say in Psalm 34:7, “How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.” Indeed, a million thanks are not enough for what Jesus Christ has done for us!
